



Westlake Medical Center Newborn Services Unit
The WestlakeMed Newborn Services Unit caters to a wide variety of newborn cases including critically ill neonates, premature babies, surgical neonates and those with congenital anomalies. Our NICU is a 6-bed tertiary unit, staffed with competent and qualified board-certified pediatrician specialists, neonatologists and Intensivist, nurses, midwives, and respiratory therapists, 24/7, ready to take care of your newborn babies. It is furnished with state-of-the art technology and equipment. The unit also takes pride with a full complement of pediatric subspecialists ready to assist and manage high-risk newborns.
The WestlakeMed Newborn Services Unit allows the parents, especially mothers to be involved in the care of the newborns. Kangaroo mother care and breastfeeding are encouraged while their babies are in the NICU. Our unit provides holistic care, which only WestlakeMed Newborn Services Unit can provide.
WestlakeMed also takes pride in having a board-certified Perinatologist, who works hand in hand with our pediatrician specialists in managing high-risk mothers and eventually their babies.
